Apologies if there is already a thread on this, I did search.

Am going to Portugal in August, it will be HOT! I'm size 20-22 and envisage lots of walking/exploring most days plus a couple of days by the pool. I'm really not sure what to wear on my bottom half. I want to be as cool as possible instead of wearing eg jeans and sweltering. Have been looking at summer dresses but I think I'd be better wearing tops and trousers or shorts.

And tips please? Just don't want to be worrying about being unnecessarily hot.
At least if I have the right clothes then will be better.

Found some really nice shorts on Dorothy Peekins Curve, chino type.

Thanks for the tip.
I don't have any shop suggestions but I have found that log baggy sleeves of very thin cotton are a lot cooler in the heat than short sleeves.

Have a look on Box2. They do lovely trousers in lots of different styles and Im able to wear them in very high temps where I live. I like their Capris.

primark have loads of lovely cottony trousers at the moment- loads of different patterns and styles - they're nice and trendy and cool too. Nice with a loose vest top.

Or go for long maxi dresses/ skirts - floaty and airy

Have fun x

I like hareem pants. Usually elastic waist bands and can be worn to the pool during the day, or dress it up with a nice camisole top and jewellery for the evening.

Weirdly at home I don't like having my arms uncovered, on holiday though I tend to relax a bit more. Plus it's usually so hot I don't want to wear cardigans! No one there is ever going to see you again and most people are usually too busy worrying about their own flabby arms, thighs etc to even see yours!

The website I linked above Has some lovely clothes on there, I like these dresses and wear them with 3/4 length leggings.
