Home hair dye help.

Please! I have no.money for a salon dye. My hair hasn't been courted for about 2 yrs, used to have it a darkish brown. Hides the greys. Natural colour is mid brown but lightens VERY easily in the sun. So now the ends are much lighter than the roots, and the roots are bland brown with grey.

Is there anything I can use to lighten the root area? So that the grey stands out less? I've only ever used darker home dye shades.

I am having some success with the L'Oreal sunkiss gel. Just run it through your hair like a gel and dry your hair naturally although hairdryer or sun helps intensify the effect. I too am mid brown with a few greys and this is helping to blend them in.

Modern day sun in? I might try it!
