summer dress for fatty for £20 max

I'm a size 24/26 and I need a summer dress for our holiday. I'm losing weight but not quick enough for next week!

Anyway, I need a summer dress for going out for a meal where the dress code is smart - some women will be wearing evening gowns/ball gowns/smart cocktail dresses.

I've seen these, would any be suitable? I'm a very casual dresser normally as I don't take any interest in clothes as I look terrible no matter what I wear. I just wear black trousers and a black t-shirt with a black cardi in winter and black shorts/crops with a black t-shirt and no cardi in summer.

I saw this that I like but at size 26 and age 54 I think it's totally unsuitable (not to mention unaffordable) but if I could find one like this for £20 would it do? I don't care what I look like as long as people won't stare and think how awful I look as my self esteem is non-existent and I'm not going to increase it in a week.

Have a look at the clearance section, some lovely things. I adore this brand - the clothes are made from substantial fabric that doesn't cling and the dress skim and conceal beautifully.

I love those vintage style dresses especially - I'm tempted to splash out though I really can't; Scarlett and Jo look lovely to but I'm less sure about them as it's going to be hot - we're going to be in Morocco.

Scarlett and Jo dresses are lovely. The ones you've picked shouldn't be too hot. They tend to size generously.
Lady V I have trouble with sizing and have never actually kept a dress because of this. I love that dress though and its worth a punt!

I have a Scarlett and Jo twist front velvet bodycon dress and it is like a magic dress. With the right big pants it hides my huge belly and is the only dress that gives me a waist and fabulous boobs. I am a size 24 and I feel so sexy in this. I have loads of compliments even from my gran who isn't a fan of accentuating your body.
