White trousers to a wedding?

I know some people firmly believe that white should not be worn to a wedding (although it wouldn't have bothered me in the slightest on my wedding day) but what are people's thoughts on white trousers with a sparkly pink top and shoes to match the top?

I would hate to upset anyone on the day by wearing something that most people would think inappropriate!

I think it sounds fine.

I went to a wedding recently where a few people wore something white like a jacket or trousers and it looked fine. Even the groom's mother wore a massive white hat! (although I did think that might upset some brides) I think it only really matters if you look a bit bridal.

Thanks both. Hopefully it will be ok then!

Absolutely fine.

Just make sure you wear the correct underwear.

I remember a thread on here ages ago about inappropriate wedding behaviour and someone had been to a wedding where the mother of the groom wore a white trouser suit with no underwear and her bush was totally visible all day 🙈🙉🙊.

Oh my! I'll definitely be keeping my bush to myself!
