What do you think of this maxi dress?

I'm tempted to buy this dress but it seems a bit "out of the ordinary" what do you think? Would it be ok to wear this to a summer wedding ?

I just want to find a maxi dress (or whatever they're called) with shorts. I saw a lady wearing one a few weeks ago and looked lovely. She was probably a few inches taller than me anyways... I want a jumpsuit / playsuit appropriate for a wedding that won't break the bank. I've already indulged too much this month :/
