Skin coloured tights for work yes or no?

Office based job: is it better to wear skin coloured tights in this weather or just go with bare legs? Any views?

Start with barely there nude tights and take them off in the loo if you are the only one wearing tights! Easy! Good luck.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 05/07/2017 22:46

I think tights look really odd even nude ones in hot weather but best be cautious I suppose just in case it's frowned upon.

BubblesBuddy · 05/07/2017 23:11

Some offices that are air conditioned expect tights so it's best to be cautious on first day.

BunnyBardot · 05/07/2017 23:16

Definitely nude tights. They don't look odd at all.

I'd be surprised if anyone even noticed whether you had tights on or not.

Caterina99 · 06/07/2017 01:22

I'd never even consider not wearing tights personally for work. But then my legs are a bit pale and veiny. Decent ones you can't really tell anyway. As said above, wear them and you can always take them off

2gorgeousboys · 06/07/2017 07:12

I wear nude tights on all but the most sweltering of summer days (and we don't get many of those in Yorkshire!). Bare legs just feels unprofessional to me.

NashvilleQueen · 06/07/2017 07:15

I hate nude tights. Not on others, just on me. They make my legs look really weird. I'm black opaques most of the year then bare legs. Legs quite pale too.

Pinkvici22 · 06/07/2017 07:22

Sally Hansen leg make up. Makes your legs look perfect so you couldn't tell if you're wearing tights or not.

MrsChopper · 06/07/2017 07:26

I have never found nude toghts that look good on my legs so I am either black opaque or Sally Hansen air brush leg make up. My legs are quite an eyesore though Grin

MrsChopper · 06/07/2017 07:26

*tights

mammmamia · 06/07/2017 08:33

How long does it take to apply the Sally Hansen stuff? Does it rub onto other clothes / car etc?

Trills · 06/07/2017 08:39

Office-based can mean a lot of things.

If it's the sort of place where men never take off their ties, and head office emails saying "You may take off your jackets as it is 30C" then tights.

Holz657 · 06/07/2017 08:47

I would do bare legs, only cause skin coloured tights look strange on me! I don't think it's unprofessional in the slightest.

user1497886612 · 06/07/2017 11:33

Skin colour tights are a definate no-no for me. Always bare legs at this time of year.

MinesaPinot · 06/07/2017 14:13

I'm office based in London. Definitely not nude tights, especially in this weather. Bare legs with the Sally Hansen, or Benefit's Bathina to give a bit of shimmer. If the occasion demands leg covering, as it were, then I will give in to skin tone hold ups, but only under sufferance (Calzedonia do the best ones IMO).

Black opaques during the autumn/winter (and last week when it was freezing and raining Hmm).

Girlywurly · 06/07/2017 14:56

Definitely nude tights, IMO. Bare legs just look too casual for the office.

elliey · 07/07/2017 17:29

Agree nude tights looks more professional.

Bobbiepin · 07/07/2017 17:32

Tights look more professional but in this heat I don't think anyone would blame you for going bare legged.

MrsChopper · 07/07/2017 17:37

mammmamia I find it's best applied with a tanning mitt. And I let it dry and sink in a little. But it needs warm water and soap/shower gel to come off properly.

elliey · 07/07/2017 19:52

Agree it's too hot for tights at the moment.
