Pretty and supportive sandals good for walking?

Dalesgirl16 · 05/07/2017 08:18

... I liked the look of saltwater sandals but read they are very flat and make for a painful walk. Im looking for a pretty sandal with good support and fine for walking for my beach holiday?

Placemarking. I have poorly feet and I'm constantly on the look out for support and comfort without hideousness.

shouldwestayorshouldwego · 05/07/2017 08:30

I find these are very comfortable to walk in. Should be fine for the beach.

Ifailed · 05/07/2017 08:33

When you say 'walking', do you mean just normal walking around, or going on actual 'walks'?

Dalesgirl16 · 05/07/2017 08:37

I mean just walking around. Nothing too sporty

I imagine birkenstocks would be. I'm on the look out too. two uk breaks in the next few weeks and i need something so im not whingeing about feet.

They are nice, should! I'm going to get some.

I have these, there are several different colours and they're extremely comfy even after hours walking in hot climates. They don't rub at all and can be hosed down if they get grubby, the soles are lovely too, like walking on clouds Smile

I have these varca wedge sandals. Really comfortable and I walk miles in them every day.

Hotter "sun" sandals - gladiator style, lovely soft leather, comfy from the start. Much less fuddy-duddy than their usual style imo.

I have these:

Very comfy with supportive soles and they don't rub me.

Clarks Unstructured sandals are great - they are smooth leather designed not to chafe or blister. Not the loveliest but not sporty either. I recently walked about 20 miles in one day in a pair of them that had a modest heel and didn't get a single blister.

I have some from Clarks called "Autumn Peace" . They are leather with sparkly bits on and very comfortable for walking around in.
I have tried to copy and paste a link but can't get it to work.

gingerbreadmam · 05/07/2017 10:14

also heard teva are good.

Cakescakescakes · 05/07/2017 10:20

Yeah try clarks.

ChipInTheSugar · 05/07/2017 10:30

Here they are Briony

LifeOfBriony · 05/07/2017 11:19

Yes, those are the ones, thank you Chip. I have them in white.

I have terrible feet. I got these ones:

The Link doesn't work Thisismynewname123

I am always on the lookout for comfortable sandals that aren't sporty.

RaspberryBeretHoopla · 05/07/2017 12:56

I love those Autumn peace sandals but worried that they would bother my little toe! Do they rub on your toe?

LittleHo · 05/07/2017 13:00

www.hotter.com/gb/en/tourist-sandals

These are amazing for walking long distances. So comfortable.

RiverTam · 05/07/2017 13:05

I have wide feet and am struggling with this - I went to the Hotter shop but they didn't have a wide fit on their prettier sandals. I like the look of the Crocs ones but they don't look very wide. Might try the Autumn Peace ones in orange.

thenewaveragebear1983 · 05/07/2017 13:19

I have these:

www.treds.co.uk/womens/sandals/art/0868/blue/3hj0

They do lots of nice ones, I had a brown pair two years ago that I sadly had to replace as they looked too tatty but they are still my most comfortable shoes.

Thisismynewname123 · 05/07/2017 13:35

I don't know why the whole link isn't working. You can copy and paste it though. Or on the Office website, search for: safari cross strap footbed sandals
