what skirt for a pear shape?

So I've been looking for a nice summer skirt, but struggling on what shape suits me. I'm thinking something looser rather than a pencil skirt as they tend to cling to the top of my legs!

I feel most comfortable in a-line skirts.

A-line never tube or pencil.

Its A line all the way for pears!!

I know A line is the textbook answer but we're not all textbook shaped and not all pears are the same.

I'm somewhere between pear and hourglass: decent arse but thighs out of proportion. I'm partial to a tube skirt and I think they look ok on me provided they end just below the knee. Any shorter and my legs look chunky but as long as there's space between hemline and thighs, it's fine (I think). I'm also careful what I wear on top - something to balance me out and always my finest bra.

A line is more straightforward but I think rules can be broken.

I am pear shaped and like Floise I also think tube skirts look a lot better on me providing it sits just on or below the knee. I find A line makes my hips look even bigger.
