What jacket/cardi with dress

Bought this dress for an interview - would you wear a jacket or cardigan with it?

I quite like the idea of a cardi but is it smart enough?
Or a soft black jacket? Anyone recommend one?

I suppose it depends on the industry and how smart they would expect you to be. Black dress and black jacket is quite a sombre look, but if this would fit with a very formal environment then that would be fine. An alternative would be a fitted cardi, layering a brighter color over the top. I think that's more of an approachable look, but would lend itself better to a more informal environment.

I wouldn't wear either.

A grey jacket might soften the look.
