I know they're winter coats but I want to buy one now so I have one for the winter (and while it's discounted). I think they're both lovely but I really can't decide on which one is nicer. Both lovely but different stylesSad

Which one do you prefer? Smile

If it helps, it'd be bought in size 12/14 Smile

First one here too.

I like both but agree with PP that the first one will suit better if you're tall and willowy, the second is more practical everyday wear and I like the smart military look it gives, even in that colour.

On balance I'd opt for coat 2 Smile

Sorry neither,,,the first style is nortoriously hard to wear, you need to think of it open as well as closed and they make you look huge and the second is double breasted, which is not flattering and quite old fashioned and too short.

I'd look for something fitted, single breasted and more streamlined. Maybe like these. Think of the shape and not the buttons or colour.

I prefer the 2nd one

Prefer the second one. In fact, I have one in grey, which is about 8 years old and still looks good apart from a moth hole, but that is not Lands End's fault!

JustDontGetItAtAll · 03/07/2017 13:15

Second one! Looks much much classier. The first one looks a little 'common' (sorry, can't think of a better less-snobby word to use!)

marmitecrumpets · 03/07/2017 13:25

First one

Depends. I think the short one will look much better with trousers. If you are big of boob though double breasted is not your friend.
