My concealer's just not cutting it anymore

I've got huge dark circles (due to health problems). I don't want to spend a stupid amount of money but my collection concealer is creasing in my fine lines,it's too dry.

I need something super pigmented that doesn't crease.

Any suggestions?

I have dark circles and bags.
I use nyx under eye corrector then beauty pie concealer (given by friend as too pale for her). I used to use bobbi brown but to be honest am just has happy with these cheaper products. Have a look at nyx - it's in larger Boots and very good and good value.

Nars creamy concealer. It is about £20
but you only need a tiny amount and lasts me 6 months. I have terrible dark circles and this is the best one I've tried and I've tried lots! I also like Clinique airbrush concealer but it's not high coverage... sometimes use it over nars if they are particularly bad.

Botanicbaby · 02/07/2017 08:28

Kat Von D lock it concealer is fantastic.

Also Benefit boing lasts forever. Can you ask for various samples to see what works best? I find some concealers dry too quickly on skin then flake off.

W7 (on Amazon) do an under eye corrector that's pink. It's for dark circles. It works quite well on me. Use it underneath concealer.

knitknack · 02/07/2017 08:52

Mac longwear pro outperforms the nars on me - its longer lasting. £18 but so far has lasted 8 months and is still going!! Hate the pump bottle mind you, but the pigmentation and staying power is incredible...

Fantastic thank you.

I have the same problem and I use Rimmel colour match concealer. It isn't that great to be honest but is cheap and no wirse than the £££ ones i have tried. I am struggling to find anything that works . All the ones I try seem to go all creased and I look as though i have both dark circles and wrinkly undereyes Angry.

*worse

I have Clarins brightening concealer. Its expensive £20 ish but, it's the best I've had and I've just bought my second tube (in two years) so really, NOT expensive, good value in fact!

I'd say, if you have a specific problem you want to sort, go cheaper on other products but spend a bit more on your "concern" product.

SukiTheDog · 02/07/2017 10:06

Actually, just realised, I bought my first Clarins at the airport, going on holiday in 2014. Three years! Its in a tube so, keeps it "clean". Even better value!

CaseStudyResearch · 02/07/2017 11:43

YY to Nars.

justanotheryoungmother · 02/07/2017 11:49

Could anyone tell me the palest shade of the MAC pro longwear concealer? (Sorry to go off topic slightly OP)

passmethewineplease · 02/07/2017 11:52

If you can't afford nars then maybelline fit me concealer is supposed to be a great alternative.

Have you tried colour correction underneath your concealer?

Ktown · 02/07/2017 11:53

Clarins is perfect and creamy

I find nars and prolong wear ok but not for under eye as they are both very dry

LoupGarou · 02/07/2017 12:11

I agree with passthewine Maybelline fit me concealer is brilliant, I have ill health induced dark circles too and it works brilliantly.

Sciurus83 · 02/07/2017 12:15

Maybeline age rewind eraser have just released the brightening formula in superdrug. It has a salmon pink tone to counter dark circles, doesn't crease, very effective. It's the one with a sponge on the end as an applicator and very reasonable.

McDougal · 02/07/2017 12:33

Just the lightest Pro Longwear shade is NC15 which I use for under my eyes at the moment but will match the rest of my face come winter. I'm NC20 though so not sure if it would be pale enough if you're very light skinned.

Ollivander84 · 02/07/2017 12:40

justanother- palest shades will be NC15 (for yellow/warm undertones) and NW15 (for pink/cool undertones)

justanotheryoungmother · 02/07/2017 13:02

Thanks everyone- I'm super pale, NC10 for foundation so I don't think it'll be light enough?Sad

Ollivander84 · 02/07/2017 13:07

Mac studio finish comes in NC10 Smile

retainertrainer · 02/07/2017 20:05

Ooh I might try the maybelline one first. Thanks again everyone.
