Lipstick help please

I haven't bought proper lipstick for years. I've been using various tinted sheer balms which give just a hint of colour.

I'd like a proper lipstick now but don't have a clue where to start. There seem to be so many on the market!

I have dark brown hair, brown eyes and very pale skin. Any suggestions please? Mid price is ok.

I would go to somewhere like Bobbi Brown and get some advice. You can then get a dupe elsewhere if looking for a cheaper option.

How about having a look at mac. They've got loads of colours and different finishes.

I really like Urban Decay vice lipsticks, not too pricey and good range of colours.

I second the vice lipsticks,
Also bare minerals, nyx, gosh and L'Oréal have good ranges, I am similar colouring to you.

I am a massive Laura Mercier lipstick fan. Such a good range of colours that go on lovely and last pretty well

Thanks, will have a look. When choosing colours, do you just test them on your hand?

I love matte liquid lipstick at the moment. Colour pop, nyx and kat von d are my favourites.

Bobbi Brown in shade Nude is fantastic. It is a rich, deep nude that is not concealer on lips jobbie.

Don't test them on your hand. Test them on your fingertip,if it looks 'right' then it'll look good on your lips.
