M&S recommendations - £75 to spend

Oh wise ones. I have a £75 voucher for M&S. There's no sale at the moment. Two questions:

  1. Does anyone know when the sale will start?
  2. Has anyone bought anything really lovely at M&S recently?

I don't suit frills, cold shoulders, Bardot tops, ruching, gathering, smocking, embroidery, fuss, etc. I normally buy Oasis / Warehouse but ogle Me & Em, Cos, etc (thanks to recommendations on here). Help me spend my voucher!!

I would just buy food with it and then use the money you have in John Lewis

I sometimes get M&S vouchers from a work loyalty thing and generally use them on their best egyptian cotton bedlinen or school uniform.
Or save them for the christmas food shop.
Though I did once buy a fairly nice winter coat, and their wide-fit footglove sandals are pretty reliable but you're too late this year.

Food / undies / nightwear , that's about all there is worth buying .

Cashmere jumper?

Bag?

I recently bought linen trousers for work which i love (they do nice linen shorts too) and 2 pairs of soft jeggings (from outlet). I also like the youthful lift bra as large busted so feel nice on. Failing that perhaps some pamper beauty items as they have a good range now

I've just seen this...worth thinking about as an extra treat. £105 worth of beauty treats for £10 when you've spent £40

I quite like this dress...plain but classic for the summer.

I bought a Fitbit. Was so chuffed because I wouldn't have spent the money myself but had the vouchers.

stumblymonkeyagain · 29/06/2017 19:57

This ones quite nice too IMO....reminds me of a Max Mara style dress

You're all fabulous clever women. All great suggestions. I love the geometric shift dress. And the thought of doing the food shop and pocketing the equivalent to spend at JL 😄 I'll have a look at bags too, as I've never spent any money on one (always Tesco F&F or charity shops).

Food or thongs!

We get M&S vouchers and I use them for DS's birthday or Christmas.

Limited edition slim leg boyfriend jeans are good and pretty much the only thing I buy and keep.Otherwise I've ordered lots online and sent it all back.I've just ordered the smocky black top featured in 'does my bum look....' but I'm fully anticipating a probable return. Why are the shapes, material, cut and the random ruffles this year all wrong?I've ordered masses from John Lewis 'And or' range this year and it's been brilliant - flattering, cut nicely, natural materials. So why can't M&S do this.

Formula Ultimate Sleep Cream - £22. Amazing stuff.

Last time I was in M&S trying on the world's most unflattering chinos, the woman in the next cubicle was having an actual raging fit through the curtain at her poor husband outside, about how ridiculously stupid and unflattering and badly-made the clothes were. At one point, he timidly suggested bringing her a different size, and she yelled, 'What's the point? It'll still be crap!'

I felt her pain.
