I'm trying to find a dark burgundy nail polish. I like opi we'll always have paris but it's discontinued. I don't want a shimmery one. Can anyone recommend, preferably a high shine one?

Dior Nuit 1947 or Bourjois cerise noire?

How dark? Have you looked at Chanel Rouge Noir?

SesameSparkle · 29/06/2017 09:09

Essie wicked

Auldspinster · 29/06/2017 09:29

Revlon Vixen.

As pp said, Chanel Rouge Noir. I've been using it since the mid-90's - occasionally try others similar, but always go back to this.

Essie Wicked is a really good dupe for Rouge Noir. The old formulation of RN was dreadful (I once had it chip on the SAME DAY of a manicure) but apparently the new formulations are very good.

L'oreal is more on a dark cherry side but equally beaitiful, it's the 556 grenat irreverent

I have OPI 'Honk if you love OPI'. Don't know if it's a bit dark compared to Paris but I love it.

OPI Infinite Shine Party at Holly's is a great colour.

WomblingThree · 29/06/2017 13:22

Oh and its only £4ish at Sally's

Was about to suggest Rouge Noir but PP beat me to it. Classic!

Another vote for Chanel Rouge Noir - a colleague introduced it to me in 1995 when I first started work and I've always had a bottle since! Such a classic.
