It looks like I might be getting a job. It will be office based but in a lab department so doesn't need to be super-smart. I don't want to turn up on my first day in jeans.
I have linen trousers, but not sure if they're smart enough to start with. Spent a morning looking in town but found nothing. I want something not jeans, preferably cotton. I only ever wear bootcut or wide at the bottom because I have ridiculously large clown feet (42-43) and think tight-ankled trousers make my feet look even bigger. I was looking for black trousers which I was told several times are out of season.
Would dark blue also look smart enough? I saw these (photo) which fit, except they aren't bootcut. But I was politely told I'm unlikely to find any. Am I just being over sensitive about my feet or will tapered trousers make them look huge?
I tend to wear a lot of blue and most of my tops or shirts have blue in them, so would that work better than black?
