Are they tacky? If not, how do I style them?

I don't think leopard print is tacky in general but I think those boots look a bit "busy" with the print and all the buckles. If I was going to wear them, I'd keep the rest of the outfit simple - black jeans or short black skirt and opaques, a black top or jacket, maybe a scarf or a necklace that references the honey colour in the boots.

I can't get the link to work- can you post a pic?

Nettletheelf · 27/06/2017 23:14

I think that they are tacky, yes. Sorry. The BBC wardrobe department will probably buy them for their next production set in the 1970s and including punk characters.

It is my dream to find some stylish leopard print boots (not to be worn with my leopard print coat/jacket/dress/handbag or while reclining on my leopard print duvet cover) but sadly I don't think these are them. They are a bit too flat and busy for me. I want something a bit more luxe looking with a small heel to wear with skinnies or a knitted dress.

Assuming you are younger and funkier than me I could see these working with a short skirt and opaque tights. I think you would need to be quite groomed to offset the punkiness of the boots. Unless you embrace that aspect of them and wear ripped fishnets and some safety pins. But not if you are old enough to remember your dad disapproving of that look first time around!

BigYellowJumper · 28/06/2017 00:55

I love leopard print because it's a bit tacky!

Not keen on those boots, something with a heel would look better, I think, like these www.net-a-porter.com/us/en/product/460155/christian_louboutin/fifi-100-leopard-print-calf-hair-ankle-boots

(Note: they are Christian Louboutins, I am not suggesting you actually buy them ha ha)

I'd settle for something halfway between the two!

imjessie · 28/06/2017 17:56

I've got some plain leopard ankle boots which I love in the autumn winter but won't wear in the summer . Those are a bit gopping aren't they 🙈

TheHiphopopotamus · 28/06/2017 18:10

I'd wear 'em. But then again, I love leopard print and Bet Lynch is my style icon. I can understand others saying they're a bit busy but I think they'd look great if you were wearing all black.

PNGirl · 28/06/2017 18:11

Yes, tacky. They either need to be leopard print, or Chloe Susanna ripoffs. Not both.

DebiNewberry · 28/06/2017 18:14

See I think the exact opposite leopard! I think flat pointy-ish Chelsea boot is cool, not a heel at all. Love it.

DebiNewberry · 28/06/2017 18:15

Leopard! jumper sorry

Kittenswithattitudeandchickens · 28/06/2017 18:39

I've got these leopard skin boots. I wear with skinny jeans or short skirt and opaques. I love them! £12 Primarni 😊

imjessie · 30/06/2017 11:25
