Curlers with clip under £50. Recommendations?

I've tried a clipless wand (it's nothing special) and heated rollers (almost worthwhile but only last an hour) and now I want to try a proper wand with a clip that might actually lead to a curl that lasts.

But I'm not - yet! - willing to gamble hundreds on GHDs. I can't borrow any. If I can get my coordination around a cheaper model and get some practise at it, then maybe. But I also know that too cheap and the tongs just don't do much.

Any recommendations for an under-£50 model? Reasonable thickness barrel, and clip. Don't need high heat (fine hair).

Ta!

I use a Babyliss with a large barrel, very pleased with it - there are several models depending on the barrel thickness you want, and come with variable heat controls.
