and try to imagine it on a size 12/14 middle aged mum instead of the tiny, tall model!
My daughter saw me in it this morning and said it looked like an old lady dress. I quite like it and it's so comfy. Is it terribly frumpy?

I tried it on in blue last week . It didnt suit me at sat on my hips. Im 54 so probably old lady in your dd eyes. but dont think its that frumpy.

It looks pretty on the model and I love the colours but can see that the style might not be fitted enough for some people so might make them look frumpy. I couldn't wear it because of the style but I am a size 16.

Bluntness100 · 27/06/2017 12:27

The model probably wouldn't look frumpy in anything. I think I'd look fairly frumpy in that.

How old is your daughter, is she usually spot on with her comments?

Mine is, so generally I Listen to her, where as my husband just says everything is nice. Hmm

NotJanine · 27/06/2017 12:35

I think it maybe has the potential to look frumpy. It just doesn't look very flattering even on the models.

The print is a bit M&S

papayasareyum · 27/06/2017 13:11

I'm thinking maybe I'll give it to mum mum, who is a similar dress size (and 80!)

I've got this dress - I'm 54 and I love it - so comfy I don't care if anyone thinks I'm wearing my mums frock. Grin

GiveMeTheTeaAndNobodyGetsHurt · 27/06/2017 13:28

I think it's quite nice actually, although would want it a bit closer fitting at the waist. It doesn't look old ladyish to me, partly because it's sleeveless and very few older women I know want to bare their arms completely.

papayasareyum · 27/06/2017 13:29

It's incredibly comfy which is helped by the loose waist i think. It skims nicely over everything!

I think with a denim jacket or biker jacket, or just on its own on a hot day, it could look v nice.

papayasareyum · 27/06/2017 21:02

Thanks Remus, I've just ordered a denim jacket and it's all your fault!Grin

Who, me? (Looks over shoulder)

MabelFurball · 27/06/2017 22:08

That model doesn't look right - looks overly photo shopped with those stick arms and legs.

bruffin · 27/06/2017 22:28

Im 5ft2 and as i said the waist is slightly dropped and sat on my hips

Featherstep · 28/06/2017 00:13

I tried on the white and was really tempted by the lovely cotton fabric. It's really very comfy as you say. Sadly white is see through and I thought the shape was not quite right.

I think the red print is quite frumpy, sorry. But yes can imagine a denim jacket will improve that!
