Just that really. I'm not sure if it should go on your cheek bones (I'd have to find them first I've a face like the moon!) Or on the apples

On the apples. Don't get involved in contouring. It always looks terrible!

ReluctantlyRedundant101 · 25/06/2017 20:41

Yes that was my instinct! The reason I didn't wear blusher for years was because I had memories of the stripy blusher horrors of the 80s shudder so I'm quite confused now it seems to be back

Actually I put mine a little higher up on my cheekbones further away from my nose, incase it just highlights those marionette lines

Oh and sometimes sweep a little highlighter over the highest part of my cheekbones, hopefully cheating a youthful glow. Although sometimes people stare...

Oh my goodness I'm confused now! I feel like if I put blusher/ highlighter on my (hard to find) cheek bones i end up highlighting my crows feet

Don't put it on. You're beautiful just as you are!

NomDePlumeReloaded · 25/06/2017 21:01

It's more about face shape and the 'look' you're going for, than age.

'Apples' gives a more pretty/cutesy 'dolly' look.

Cheek contours gives a more sculpted look.

Thank you hattie Flowers

I used to do apples then realised that's well out of date so I youtubed it. So many tutorials on YouTube.

I lost the baby fat on my cheeks, and now have high cheekbones at last, hurrah. Do have some crow's feet unfortunately, just don't put anything there - just a narrow fully blended in strip just on the cheekbones. Loss of baby fat has meant I have naturally cheek contours, (so I tell myself, I probably look quite drawn.)

Highlighter is fab, really

I never knew what "apples" referred to. I stopped wearing it years ago as I just felt very 80's in it somehow.
