Do you recommend eyelash tinting?

I'm a recent convert to eyebrow waxing and tinting (what took me so long?). When I do natural looking make up covering blemishes, dark circles and adding a bit of blush I end up with my eyelashes looking "negative" iyswim. But if I add mascara I look made up. So am hoping of tinting my eyelashes would solve the problem. Does it make a difference?

The fairer your lashes are, the more difference tinting makes. I'm naturally brown haired, blue eyes, and find tinting my lashes really makes a difference, so if i don't want to put on make up, I can still look reasonably fresh and presentable, rather than washed- out!
I go for blue- black, but you could match your lashes to your brows.

I've been having mine done for the past year along with my eyebrows at same time, every six weeks. By week 5 i can really notice how much they need doing again.
I hate wearing mascara with my glasses on and wouldn't stop having my tint done now!

I also have my eyelashes tinted regularly. They are naturally quite long but are fairer at the ends so they don't look particularly impressive 'naked'!
Even though I'm fair haired I go for a blue-black tint as I think it lasts longer. I probably get mine dyed about every 5 weeks but I would say the tint begins to fade/go after 4 weeks.

I haven't had it done for a while, but you keep your eyes closed while the tint is on.

Depending on where you are, prices for this service range from pretty reasonable to pretty extortionate.

If you're unsure about using one of the kits, then have them done professionally once or twice, before watching YouTube a few times.

The first few goes are painfully slow, but what you need to remember is to stay close to a sink or wash basin in case of accidentally getting some of it in you're eye.

Didn't make any difference to mine. A waste of money. But my eyelashes are very fine. I have had them done in a salon and bought a kit and results were rubbish. Maybe works for people who already have lovely long thick lashes.

It costs between £4.50 and £6 where i live.

I'm fair and have pale eyelashes so without mascara or tint I look like I have piggy eyes.

I've previously had a blue black tint done and recently had LVL done, and I liked both, but the results of the LVL were really ace, because of the root curl it added. But LVL is a bit too pricey for me to justify doing regularly.

Hate having to put mascara on though so now the LVL is fading I'm going to go and get my lashes tinted again. Thinking of having eyebrows done too, but never done that before.

I have black hair but the tips of my eyelashes are white ish and in general my eyelashes are pretty stubby. I have a tint and lift/curl before holidays and big occasional and it makes a huge difference.
I plan to start this as a regular treatment going forward after our summer holiday.

I had mine done before I went on holiday a couple of months ago, and it was brilliant. Didn't need to wear any makeup during the day apart from a bit of bb cream, and my eyes looked great. I'll definitely do it again next time I go away. It didn't last all that long though- maybe three weeks, and had definitely faded off by week four.

Yes. Get my brows and lashes done together every month (give or take)

Means I don't have to wear mascara on the bottom lashes which tends to smudge and lead to panda eyes

Also means I feel less 'undone when I'm going without any makeup

Doesn't make much difference for me. I'm fair skinned but have long, dark lashes naturally. I did it for a while but haven't for a couple of years, although I get my brows done still. Depends how fair you are I think.

You've already taken the plunge with eyebrow tinting and waxing, which I think looks more 'obvious' than eyelash tinting. I get all three done regularly, every month or so. Make sure they leave the eyelash tint on long enough. I need 10 mins or the colour doesn't take and it's not worth doing. You can do them yourself which is cheaper but I prefer to get the lot done professionally

I tint my own with the Strictly Professional stuff from Amazon. (Slather on a load of Vaseline and apply it with an old mascara wand, leave for ten minutes, then remove with damp cotton wool.) I'm pretty dark, but find my lower lashes are quite light at the tips and this just gives more definition. I've done it since I was a teenager as my mum is very fair and I used to do it when she did hers.

I had it done before, didn't make much difference to me. Have very fair skin and long dark lashes though, not sure why I let beautician talk me into it.

I've never found an eyelash tint makes much difference - it doesn't thicken or lengthen lashes like mascara does and isn't nearly as transformative as eyebrow dye. I've had it done but have gone back to a decent, waterproof mascara that doesn't smudge or run.
