Bronzer/highlighter not too spendy?

DD (12) is hugely into make up (just practising in her room, not going out full face!). She asked to do mine yesterday and it was a lovely bonding thing as she is starting to not really want to do quite as much with me now.

She went through my very basic make up bag and did a relatively good job. She has got it in her head that I would look even better with some bronzer and highlighter and could we go shopping today so she can help me choose some. I'm happy to do this and spend some time with her.

Can you recommend a highlighter and bronzer that I could get that will not make me look sparkly and teenage?? I'm late 30s and pale-medium skin tone and I hate looking too done up.

If you head to superdrug they have loads of different brands. MAkeup revolution usually have a stand and do a fab matte bronzer; Ultra bronze, which isn't too dark/orange and think it's only £4 their highlighters are also decent and are cheap too.
MUA is another cheap and cheerful brand.
Rimmel also have a bronzer, blush and highlighter compact thing which is nice and subtle too.

I got a No17 non sparkly ,very natural looking bronzer last year for about a fiver.

Rimmel one is pretty matte.

Thank you for the suggestions! I will look out for all of those and enjoy our shopping time.

Do these come with brushes? Or do I need to get one?

Another one suggesting Makeup Revolution. Think it's pretty popular with girls of that age- well it's the brand that DS buys his friends as bday presents!

Brushes wise, primark are pretty good if you have one? Superdrug sell them too, quite often on offer

Obviously totally missed the point that this is for your face BlushGrin

I'm mid 30's and I use MR! It's not just for the teenagers...

Smile don't worry sufficatedsue, I'm sure that part of the trip suggestion was the hope I might let her buy something too!
