Sudden breakout of "backne"

Has anyone experienced this?

I have had hormonal acne for decades now (I'm 36, no DC) - chin spots around ovulation, and before periods. I've started using glycolic pads, and this is the first month I haven't had an ovulations spot. So far so good. Nice to have a clear chin for the first time in years.

However, I woke up today with BACKNE. Three massive cystic spots in the middle of my back, and others dotted around. Has my body directed them away there away from my chin? It's horrifying!

Just wondering if this has happened to anyone else.

Flowers backne sucks I'm sorry OP.
Im a similar age to you and used to get this whilst taking the combined pill a few years back. I had to stop taking the pill due to blood pressure issues. Once I stopped the pill the spots and a lot of other symptoms went away!
I'm afraid I don't have any helpful advice but wanted to sympathise. Could the hot weather have triggered it (do you sleep in your back for instance?). I do and used to work on a v hot office and this made the backne much worse.

Hibiscrub, available at chemists, is great for acne on the body. (It also works on the face but it says not to use it on the face, so ignore that.Wink)

Avoid getting it in the vulva if you use it in the shower as it is antimicrobial and can cause thrush. But it is very effective on the body for spots and boils.
