I have to go to a posh-ish drinks reception.
It's social, not work, and I won't know anyone there. I want to make a good impression, don't feel confident, but need to look like I haven't just fallen from the trees.
Any suggestions? 5'7, size 12 (piled on lots of weight, so have a loads of size 8 dresses doing nothing in the wardrobe). Maybe send £100 (have lots of shoes, fortunately my feet didn't get fat).
