Grenson brogues - sizing?

Considering a sale purchase - does anyone know how the sizing comes up on them please?

It seems I'm a pretty standard size 5 in heels, but every brand of brogue is different

Huge. I'm a 7 and ended up with a 6.

Yes half to full size larger. I think their own web site has a good size guide, and their customer service is also helpful.

I agree they are generous. I'm 4.5 in Clarks for example but a 4 in Grenson still has room for socks if needed. I love the brogues but their loafers were the most painful thing I'd ever worn.

Glad to hear you found the brogues comfortable quidditys, I ordered the pewter colour ones in the hope that they'll be comfortable and smart enough for work - fingers crossed!

They are massive! I bought some beautiful oxblood loafers in a 4 and wish I'd sized down. They slip off my feet so I've given up wearing them as they kept rubbing. Would def make sure you have the sizing right as if they are too big they won't be comfy! Have just googled the pewter! Great choice!!

Thanks and totally agree with you Lou, I've made too many mistakes with sizing in the past, I won't do it anymore!

Thought I'd update just in case anyone else ever has a similar query...

Size 4 and 4.5 of the pewter Agnes brogues arrived today, and the minute I opened the first box I was staggered by how narrow they looked! My feet are only on what I consider to be the slightly wide side of normal, but I didn't stand a chance even with the 4.5. Beautiful shoes if you have skinny feet though!

So both pairs have already been returned
