Hair colour remover - disaster sort of

I had some high lift tint highlights - as opposed to bleach - 8 weeks ago. Colourist refused to use bleach - I had some left over highlights that were bleached and growing out - she said she wouldn't use bleach because my hair was dry. Anyway the high lift came out quite red - I wanted golden. When my roots started coming through I used Aveda's clove conditioner to tone down my whole colour. My highlights are also Aveda. Anyway I used a colour remover (for dye not a colour stripper) which I have done before successfully; but this time my hair - instead of looking golden with red bits in - it's gone almost ginger. I'm being fussy - but we go away in three weeks to somewhere where they will be lots of sun. Shall I just leave it and bear in and go back to the colourist in August when we are back from hols. It's not too bad it's just that I dyed my brows darker so the contrast is a bit much!

If you're ok doing it yourself, you can use an peroxide free semi permanent at home. I think the nice n easy 8 wash one is meant to be ok after removing colour. Just avoid anything permanent and do a timed strand test first as your hair grabs colour more after dye removal and can go darker quickly.

I mixed beige blonde and light brown and it's given me a nice chestnut tone. I'm growing out the bleached ends anyway so will have to keep doing this I guess for a few months...
