Hi all!
This might be a bit long..but to fill you all in - I am in my early 30's...have been colouring my long, unlayered, 'fairly straight' hair since my teens, which probably affects how healthy it is (originally mousey brown - since then a range of red & brunette shades). I am admittedly clueless about doing anything with my hair.
I work in a professional role for which it is necessary that my hair be pulled back and out of the way. I usually tie it in a ponytail, which ends up frazzled and all over the place within about an hour, or twist it into a bun which I secure with a hair tie at the base, which I realized after a while looks really odd from the side ('pinched in' where it meets my head and the bun itself is just shapeless). I also find that I get lots of fly away hairs by my face/forehead. I don't use any sort of 'products' - or even know anything about what hair products to use, other than shampoo & conditioner basically!!
Sooooo....I'm looking for suggestions as to how to either stop my ponytail becoming so messy, how to tame those messy flyaways, or really, any ideas/tutorials for sleek, professional looking hair!!
Please help!!
