Washing Birkenstocks

I have had my Birkenstocks for about four years amd they are worn in, very comfortable. Look in good nick.

I do think though that they need a wash. I am sure I've heard that they can go into to washing machine?

Is this true? If so any tips welcomed.

I have washed trainers before and they were ok. I would be gutted if I ruined these though as I have moulded them nicely now

So - they went in on a short wash.

Look okay - the metallic finish on the leather doesn't look as good but I can live with that.

The cork base looks a lot better!
