The Perfect Travel Trouser?

Wingles10 · 20/06/2017 13:40

I'm looking for a trouser I can travel in & wear in heat.

I'd like fitted but not legging style as that would be too clingy.
They need to be elasticated at the cuffs as I'll be trekking in a jungle.
Cotton preferably so breathable.
The cheaper the better!

Anyone have any suggestions?

The only ones I'm seeing are very baggy & wide legged.

Bump - I need some too

You don't want cotton in the forest - it will get wet and chafe
I'd suggest an outdoor walking trouser - tuck into socks to prevent leeches getting in!

I bought <a class="break-all" href="//xtuclothing.sainsburys.co.uk/p/Luxe-Drapey-Trousers/131033347-Navy?searchTerm=:relevance&searchProduct=" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">these in grey at my local Sainsbury's yesterday. They're really soft and comfortable.

But I would agree with Veterinari that you probably need something a bit more suited to walking in a jungle Smile.

Have a google of craghoppers lightweight trousers.

I got some in Mountain Warehouse that I wore trekking hot climate - really lightweight but kept the bugs away.

Don't wear cotton in heat/humidity - it'll get damp and rub like a mofo. Second Rohan for quality - if too expensive, look on eBay.

Next hareems every time!

ZaraW · 22/06/2017 20:04

I did a bit of trekking in Borneo I got some Marmot travel trousers in man made fibre light weight and very quick drying. Cotton wouldn't really be that comfortable.

Thank you for all of the advice!
