I am 61 and have always had great skin that people remarked on and I put it down to the fact that I have always drank lots and lots of water. I went on holiday last year to a very hot location and when I came back I had lots of small white spots on my cheeks easily squeezable but always come back. Now recently I have huge spots on my face. One on my right cheek one on my left cheek one on my forehead and two on my chin, it seems that every day I wake up I have another spot. I have never had this before. Also my nose is really greasy especially when I wake up. Tonight my husband remarked that I had a huge spot on my cheek. I feel really embarrassed about all this and my face never feels clean. Any ideas on what to do or should I see the doctor?

Make gp appointment immediately! In the meantime you can try acnicide from the chemist but you probably also need a tea tree cleanser. I would wager this is some kind of hormonal flare or a reaction to something and might pass soon enough

Could it be rosacea? My friend lived abroad for a year in a hot location and came back with rosacea. I hope it isn't though and tbh I don't know too much about it. I would second what Queen said and visit the GP.

Food allergies show in the cheeks. I get red lumps if I eat something I'm allergic to. They don't come to a head, they just sit there.

Things I've found worked for me;

La Roche posay effaclar duo
Nip fab Glycolic fix pads at night
Neutrogena acne mask.

Acnecide gel has sorted me out.

Thanks for your replies. I will try the acnecide gel first before I go and bother the dr.
