Forehead "bumpy and oily"

My dear son just told me that my forehead (and the rest of my face if I'm honest) is bumpy and oily quote. The problem is that I have sensitive, red, acne prone skin. To cover it I use a mask of foundation and panstick. This looks ok when freshly applied but soon looks shiny, especially in this hot weather. Can anyone help? I feel so low about my looks.

Do you scrub your forehead to try and get rid of the bumps? I used to have them until I stopped exfoliating that area constantly. It got worse for about two weeks and then started getting better until the bumps disappeared.

Now I just wipe with a facecloth, no scrubbing or exfoliating that area or they come back.

Thanks Gummy but no I don't do any scrubbing of my face because I am so prone to redness.

What skin care products do you use? Trouble with a thick layer of foundation and pan stick is that they tend to clog the skin up even further.

I once heard from a beautician that 'lots of tiny little bumps under the skin' was because the moisturiser you use doesn't agree with your skin or you are using to much moisturiser and need a more lighting one.

Do you use salicyclic acid? If you use this and stop applying foundation they may go.
