Lounge suit for day time event- will this dress do?

Going to some posh day time thing I'm assuming I need to be smart - will this do? If not what kind of thing would you recommend? Thanks .

I would assume that lounge suits means business attire. So I would go for shift dress with a jacket. Not sure if that is helpful?
