Lots of places offer it beauticians and the such, I don't know how they get around it but I wouldn't risk it. We only get the one set Smile

If it's just staining then White glo toothpaste shifts it. For actual whitening, dentist. I had zoom and am v happy with it. Didn't want to risk anything at home with my teeth and I checked everything with my dentist and hygienist first

kaytee87 · 14/06/2017 09:21

It probably is just staining. My teeth have always been pretty white but seem darker to me. Think I've been drinking more tea off on mat leave.

Bali

They don't get around it, it's just that no ones reported them to the gdc.

The gdc have never lost a case either.

I use a smokers toothpaste, Eucryl powder twice a week & I add hydrogen peroxide to my mouthwash every morning. I gave up tea as it seems to be a major cause of my staining.

kaytee87 · 14/06/2017 09:34

fluffy don't know if I could give up tea Sad I have 3 cups a day - could cut it down to 2 I suppose and seen if that helps. I used to only drink 1 or 2 cups a day.

I miss it. I have a double espresso latte every morning but it's not the same.

Try to get Crest White strips on-line. For some reason you can buy these in pharmacies/drugstores in the US but they are not available to buy here Hmm the % of Hydrogen peroxide makes them very effective at removing stains caused by coffee/tea/red wine................... Beware tho they will make your teeth sensitive whilst using them - but the end result is very very good. Anyone know why they can't be bought over the counter here?

PorklessPie · 14/06/2017 13:18

You can buy them On Amazon.com and they ship over here

livecoco activate charcoal teeth whitener is fabulous and only £6 on amazon prime. Use it in the shower though as it goes everywhere!

Just had Zoom done at the dentist. My teeth look great, they were yellow before and are now naturally white rather than a bright white.

NerdyBird · 14/06/2017 16:28

The whiteglo toothpaste seems to have an effect, but not as dramatic as proper whitening. I used it in the run up to my wedding as I drink quite a bit of coffee and I think it helped.

Brittanyspears · 14/06/2017 19:26

100% crest white strips!

JDSTER · 14/06/2017 21:04

olli (wave) and bottom talk to me about Zoom please. My dentist offers zoom and Colgate whitening. I have sensitive teeth and can't stand the thought of my teeth being on edge after whitening. How do you find it?

Ollivander84 · 14/06/2017 21:18

I had the in chair plus take home kit
No sensitivity at all in the chair. I got a little with the take home kit but sensodyne repair toothpaste solved it, the dentist gave me a mini tube to use at home

jennielou75 · 14/06/2017 21:39

I have an oral b 9000 toothbrush that has different settings. I find the deep clean and whitening really works for me. My hygienist said she could see a real improvement too.

rollonthesummer · 14/06/2017 21:46

How much does Zoom cost?

Ollivander84 · 14/06/2017 21:52

I think I paid £350 for the in chair and at home stuff

VanellopeVonSchweetz99 · 14/06/2017 21:53

Dentist made me Illuminé custom trays that I put bleach gel in and use for two hours at a time for a few days in a row as and when I feel like a freshening-up. Not cheap and not the most comfortable but I'm really, really happy with the results. It's more gradual than Zoom so you can control it better. I started out with a lower percentage bleach gel but then moved up to a higher % since I had little or no twinges or pain.
It's really important to get custom trays and not over fill them though, bleach gel sitting on your gums burns & damages skin like acid.
Also hygienist got me onto drinking tea & coffee from a straw = less staining!
