Embracing the curly hair

So I'm embracing my file hair. I bought boots curl cream (pick pot) and I was impressed with the curl I got (plopped it while wet).

My question is how to you keep your hair looking nice if not washing every day.

I also got a salt spray to try and curl be ends a bit more after a day. What does Everyobe else do

I can go a week without washing my hair but normally wash it every 4-5 days. On non wash days I rinse it in the shower, apply conditioner, mousse and either dry with a diffuser or air dry. My hair's shoulder length and takes about 15 mins to do and it always looks good, really curly and bouncy with no frizz. I do CG but use a shampoo, you can do that it just has to be sulfate free.

Shampoo - Boots Botanics Balanced Moisture
Conditioner - Superdrug Extracts Coconut and Sweet Almond
Mousse - Boots Essentials Extra Strong (purple tin)

Sometimes I use gel V05 Mega Hold Gel. You can check yourself if products are CG. Just avoid anything with an ingredient that ends in cone or conal

The Curly Girls FB group is really good. My hair is a lot curlier than the OP's so products may not work quite as well but I do the following: co-wash every other day using either Tesco Pro-V conditioner or Yes to Carrots and cool rinse. Squish in a huge palmful of Tresemme Perfectly Undone conditioner and cool rinse. Untangle by hand whilst soaking wet, squeeze out excess water then turn head upside down and scrunch in another handful of Perfectly Undone. Plop hair onto cotton t-shirt and tie up. Remove t shirt after about 20 minutes and let it air dry. I get soft, shiny, perfectly defined curls from this with no other products needed. I pineapple it and wear a silk bonnet to sleep and just scrunch through a small amount of PU and water in the morning and it's good to go. I can go 2-3 days without washing and it stays looking great but I do a lot of exercise so usually need to wash every other day. I do a coconut oil deep condition about every 2-3 weeks. I've tried the Cantu creme before but found it too heavy, the Boots pink stuff is good, as is their mousse and the UG Jelly, but just the conditioner works fine for me.

I also like the Cantu products but hair shorter and curvier than OP's.

Ok so I can get nice ringlet type curls underneath but the top layer of hair is less so and curls less defined Was thinking of getting some layers put in next time I get it cut would that help? Can't get a good picture

I was thinking of puting bendy rollers in the top layer of hair plopping the rest leaving for half an hour then letting it air dry to see if that helped what do you think
