Comfy Bra That Doesn't Look Like It Belongs To My Grandma

Have had a major BAD BRA DAY! I need a new bra that is comfortable and supportive. No silly nonsense - as that's where I keep going wrong! Feel I have to resign myself to something fairly practical, but don' want to look like my Granny just yet... I'm on the, shall we say, buxom side.... Any suggestions lovely ladies?

What size are you?

AnguaResurgam · 12/06/2017 18:59

Measurements might be more useful than the size OP thinks she is (unless recently fired by the method used by the bra intervention posters).

Also, verbena what style bra are you after?

Titsywoo · 12/06/2017 19:03

It's not sexy but I wouldn't say granny either. I have this bra and it's super comfy. I'm a 38DD so not massive but not teeny either and I find it very supportive.

Really not sure on style. Just want comfort. Getting too old and grumpy for anything else!

Oooh Titsywoo - that does sound comfy and looks okay too... You sound like a woman who knows her bras, from the name Grin

I really love fantasie bras, they start at a d cup. Deep cups, wide straps, Good uplift but you can get without padding or moulding (which always makes me feel like a beach ball) . Freya is their younger more hip cousin.

But also: get yourself measured, and be prepared to try on a lot of bras. Figleaves would be good for this as they have a store. I did one trip where I figured out that fantasie cut is the best for me, and after that I tend to buy online. But the initial trip is important.

John Lewis and Debenhams have really ice range and they also measure for free!
