Workwear Capsule Wardrobe (when rubbish at styling)

Hello,

Wondering if I can ask all you style gurus a question please. I've just brought the dress below in Sloane Blue (dark navy) and am now trying to find some shoes to go with it - I would prefer slightly heeled rather than fully heeled. What would you suggest? I am super pale and planning to wear with sheer tights if that information is needed!

If anyone also has ideas for how to capsulate this I would love to hear as well. This is my starting point with capsule wardrobe! I am going to buying a couple of bits and pieces over the coming months (can't afford to fork out all at once).

I find grey suede heels very versatile. I have these from Zara. They go with dresses and slim cigarette 7/8th trousers of nearly all colours.

Probably a bit higher heeled than you are looking for. There's a couple of lower block heel styles in Zara which could work

Oooo curragh I love those, thank you. Just ordered a pair - the love is so great I will get over my fear of walking in anything greater than 2cm high! I am useless.

Coral That's a lovely dress, can I ask how it fits? I wear a size 10 in Phase 8, but that's usually in stretchy fabrics to give nork room. I'm sorely tempted to get it too.

I love the colour of the shoes that curragh recommended but they're much too narrow for my feet, so I'm going to follow this thread and see if anyone suggests anything else.

@CinderellasBroom it hasn't arrived yet, but I will let you know. I am between a size 10 and 12 (Phase 8 12 dress is a little frumpy on me); I've gone with a size 10 and the security of free exchanges!

I will also let you know on the narrowness of the shoes - I may have that issue. I probably should have thought of that before I ordered them!

@CinderellasBroom Just to let you know it arrived late yesterday and the Size 10 fits me perfectly - even around the bust which I was a little worried about.

I'm very tempted, but not sure which colour to go for - I've been looking for a black dress for a while as it's such a wardrobe staple, but navy might be more versatile for summer. I've got more winter dresses than summer ones, because I still haven't found the right sheer tights and shoes (in winter I have thick black tights and black brogues).
