Could I wear this on a night out?

36 years old,having a girls night out for the first time in a very long-meal and then a few bars with a dance. I'm at an utter loss as to what should wear.

I was thinking this dress with strappy heals,clutch and I've got a leather jacket if cold. Then I was also thinking it could work with flip flops as a casual summer dress? (I like to get my money's worth!)

Personally I would wear a pair a of navy ankle boots but that's just my personal choice.
