Teaching interview

I had a baby 2 years ago, and been lucky enough to have been on Maternity Leave since then. I started applying for teaching jobs last week and yesterday I had an email calling me for interview on Tuesday.

As well as panicking about the actual interview, I'm having a nightmare trying to think about what to wear.

I'm a size 18 and am 5' 9". I need to look professional but not uncomfortably so.

Any ideas from anyone?!

I regularly interview teachers.

I'd expect you to be well groomed - hair tidy, no loose threads, holes or stains, clean nails.

Clothes wise, good condition and not too revealing!

Very rarely candidates wear suits. Most wear trousers and tops, with jackets or cardigans.

The key thing is to be clean and tidy, be comfortable, wear something you feel good in, smile!

Comfort is paramount. Depending on the phase and whether you'll be teaching as part of the interview will have some bearing. Trying to get on the floor for an EYFS interview in heels and a tight skirt suit is not ideal and will have them questioning your suitability.
