..... I see so many threads where women are down on themselves. Too fat, too old, too wrinkly, too drab, too hard on themselves.

We are mothers, wives, partners, daughters, we have hardships, pain, love and laughter, we endure.

I will share my poem about myself with you and maybe you can share some heart words back?

Think of one, two or three things physically that you like about yourself and share it here.

I am beautiful because when I smile my eyes dance and little wrinkles at the corners fan out.

I try to hold myself gracefully, but often look like a baby giraffe trying its legs for the first time.

I have big scarred stretch marks on my tummy from when I was pregnant, 15 years on they have faded to a silvery colour, dh calls them my woman stripes.

SockDog (my personal trainer) and Pilates keep me in reasonable shape for my age without any aches and pains. I don't mind going gray and my DH still occasionally tells me he fancies my bones.

I've never been the pretty one but as I've matured I think I've grown into my face.
And following (5 stone) weight loss and shit loads of exercise I'm fitter and in better shape than I've ever been in my life. 47 and a size 10. I'll live with that.

I wish I had the confidence to wear the clothes I wear today 10 years ago!

I'm very tall, with 35 inch inch legs. I'm 57 with great skin and don't look my age. Clearly divorce and meeting an amazing new man makes a difference!
And i have never felt so sexy.

I'm tall and fit (5ft 10, size 10). Got great legs and ass. Last night I ran 10k, I'm aiming to do a half marathon this year. I've got good skin, nice hair and pretty eyes, I look like I'm thirty something but I'm actually almost 44.

I was told all these things by different people, and sometimes it's hard for me to accept compliments but I'm learning :)

Apart from bum (too big) boobs (too small) and teeth (bit wonky) I'm actually really happy with all other aspects of my appearance. That's not bad is it!

I've got good boobs, still very perky at 36.
I think I'm quite stylish. I regularly get complimented and lots of people ask where I got my shoes/coat/bag (the answer is usually Primark/charity shop/eBay/TKMaxx five years ago)

I have fabulous hair and good eyelashes. My ankles are quite well turned

This is really hard for me after a lifetime of self flagellation but I have a petite curvy figure, thick curly hair, big green hazel eyes, good legs and cheekbones.
I'm just back from a pool holiday and was surrounded by amazing strong mothers who ALL looked fantastic - was a good reminder to me to stop being so hard on myself.
