Foundation and going on holiday

I'm going abroad next week and the foundation I have at the moment is quite pale to match my skin tone, but once I've got some colour on my face this foundation obviously isn't going to match my skin. I don't want to go out and buy new foundation as its quite expensive the one I use and I might end up buying the wrong shade anyway, so im just wondering what does everyone do in this situation? Use bronzer over the normal foundation maybe?

I just use bronzer

LoadsaBlusher · 08/06/2017 14:43

Over my normal foundation I mean

Thank you :) Any good bronzer recommendations, I prefer matte to shimmery.

I use Dior Star foundation
Then Rimmel Matte medium bronzer
Far better than any expensive brands IMO

I don't ever have my face in the sun though

I wear factor 50 on my face and a wide brimmed hat.
I do tan the rest of my body and happily lie in my bikini

So I guess when I'm on holiday my face is always the same colour as when I'm at home and I use the exact same products so my face always matches my body in photos IYSWIM.

I use Laura Mercier tinted moisturiser or Estée Lauder BB cream in the summer months when I have a little more colour.

Body shop do both bronzing and (foundation) darkening adjusting drops. The bronzing ones are sheerer than the other ones, but you just add a drop or two to your base on the back of your hand, mix and apply. You can then apply your bronzer after if you need more colour

loadsablusher I don't tan my face either. Dermatologist said factor 20 or above on your face or you'll be wrinkled like a good un by 60 with skin like a rhino. I use no7 bronzer to match me in

Moomincow beat me to it. I have not tried adjusting drops but they do sound a good idea.

Thanks everyone :)
