Links of London? Question about charms!

I know some mumsnetters aren't fans but I really like the Links Sweetie necklace, large size.

I might definitely will put a charm onto it.

My questions is, how do the charms fit on? Do you have to buy an attachment for them?

I've got a sweetie bracelet, the charms have a double loop attachment a bit like a keyring, so fits on chain like you would put the key on the keyring - if that makes sense.

Have you tried the necklace? My bracelet was a present and its really uncomfortable and feels bulky.
