I have a job interview next week. What the hell should I wear? Any suggestions for a short (5"2) and dumpy 39-year-old? Am pear shaped.
Would appreciate any tips as usually wear casual clothes . Job is in a school office so am thinking formal but not too formal.

Are you ok with a top and trousers? A blouse or popover with well cut trousers is fine. Shoes you can walk in that are clean and fairly new and not sky scrapers or doc martins! You don't need a jacket. If you like dresses, go for a simple summer one that flatters you. A shift dress maybe? Take a neat bag, not one full of everyday junk, and make sure your hair is neat. A little bit of makeup is better than none or full glam! Jazz up a plainer outfit with a necklace. Hope it goes well.

Something like this with some plain mid-height pumps, perhaps?

Thanks both. I do like that dress and it's a good price too.

I saw this the other day and thought it looked really nice.... even though it is M&S! M&S
