Broken nail SOS

Right index finger- the break is really low and already about halfway across I don't know whether to tea bag patch it and hope for the best, or just take the top off and file it down. I'm getting married in 7 weeks so I really don't want to have odd-length nails! Any advice?

I'd try the tea bag thing and see what happens. Worst case you'll have to trim it but worth trying.

Do the tea bag repair, make sure you buff the nail first so it sticks properly.
Do you know anyone that does gel nail polish? that would strengthen it further and protect it while it grows out a bit
