Bra help!

I've measured myself the old fashioned way and come out at a 32D, which is the size I'm wearing and find really uncomfortable - much too tight and I'm in a lot discomfort by the end of the working day (always take my bra off when I get home).

I did the boob or bust calculator and that says 32F, but would a bigger cup size help the discomfort, which is around my back and ribs?

What am I doing wrong? All I want is a comfortable bra!

Yes a bigger cup could make the band feel less tight. When the cup size is too small it steals some volume from the cup and makes the bra uncomfortable and feel too tight/small.

Have you measured underbust and had it quite firm/tight to get the 32inches?

Yes, I followed the boob or bust instructions - really tight was 31 and snug was 33

Cup measure standing up was 36 and hanging down (nice!) 39.

I've put on weight and am surprised the band hasn't increased - obviously all gone on to the cup size instead!

defibitrly try the bigger cup it does sound as though you need more volume in the cup.

Try on your bra backwards, fastening to the front, cups to the back and have the band in the correct place this will help you decide if the 32 is comfortable without your boobs stealing space! The band should be tight/firm and you shouldn't be able to pull it out too much.

Also look at different styles of bras, I always wore a plunge style but since losing weight they're no use and I need a balcony.

Have you tried the Bravissimo measuring guide? Better still, get measured in one of their shops if you can. I discovered them 10 years ago and have never looked back! It's well worth a visit even if you don't live that close to one.

Thanks all, I'll take a trip to Bravissimo on Saturday to get measured.

It's probably worth ringing ahead to book Smile
