Hi all,

Does anyone know if this is a decent brand? Have you bought dresses from here and what is the quality like? I've got a summer party coming up, it's quite dressy and I love the look of this

Hoping the link works...

Any other suggestions of similar dresses are welcome!
TIA

I have 3 and love them all. Nice thick material and flow well.

CocoLoco87 · 06/06/2017 00:01

Thanks for responding! How do the sizes come up? I'm a 12/14 so would go for a 14 I think...

Sorry but I thought they were awful. I bought different dresses and the fits were atrocious! I'm busty, so a 12 on top and a 10 on bottom but I couldn't even get one of the dresses arm holes above my elbow. Another dress was literally missing a zip and the thirds petticoat was strangely a good 4 inches below the rest of the dress! I'd never buy from them again, shoddy!

I ordered one once and it arrived smelling so strongly of body odour that I immediately resealed the package and sent it back. It also looked very cheaply made.

We've bought one for my daughter's prom this year. It's a size 8 & is true to size. We're very happy with it and the quality is fine for the price we paid.

xapril87x · 06/06/2017 06:42

I bought a dress from here 2 years ago and loved it. I ordered 2 sizes as I'm in between and ended up with the smaller of the 2. A friend recently ordered a skirt from here and again no complaints what so ever.

errorofjudgement · 06/06/2017 07:07

We've also bought one for DDs prom. We ordered 2 in different styles, both looked wonderful on her. I'm really pleased with the style and quality for a very reasonable price.
We returned the second and got a full refund through very quickly.

Thanks all for replying! Seems more positive than not... I had found some reviews online that were both ends of extreme and hoped some MNetters viewpoints would help! I think I'll take the risk and order it Smile

I have this Chi Chi dress and I really like it.

However I did have to have it altered before I wore it to my cousins wedding last year as the lacy bit at the bust was too high.

It is a bit nylon-y, but I got a lot of compliments on it and their dresses are 'fun' to wear.

I'm actually returning 2 of their dresses today! I just found that they were much bigger - as in flouncier- than I had expected. The underlay thingy to make the skirt stick out was massive and the lace was very hard and scratchy. I felt like I was wearing a costume rather than a normal dress.

DavetheCat2001 · 06/06/2017 10:17

I agree they are a bit 'dressing up box', but I really enjoyed wearing mine. I dyed my hair pink to match at the time too!

Not sure when I will get another chance to wear it again though.

hippadoppaloppagorillapig · 06/06/2017 10:20

I've had a few, I liked them. The ones I've had were heavy lacy numbers, felt good quality, but yes they were very sticky outy and scratchy. They are excellent with returns as well, I ordered a few to try on & sent some back. I had my refund really quickly.

OuchLegoHurts · 06/06/2017 12:02

DavetheCat your one is much nicer than either of mine, it's really pretty yet much more understated!

DavetheCat2001 · 06/06/2017 14:32

Thanks Ouch. I thought it was a bit OTT as it is so bright a colour, but I did really enjoy wearing it Smile

LoadsaBlusher · 06/06/2017 20:14

I wore one as a wedding guest .
True to size
Lovely thick material.
It was a kind of 50's low back Jackie o type dress and the front inside the bust was lined so didn't need to wear a bra and got the full effect of the low v back
They hold their value pretty well too , I bought mine for £60 then sold it after the wedding on EBay for £30.

channelYourInner6YO · 06/06/2017 20:32

I just bought this one and I lurve it. Makes me feel like my nn - very sticky-out, rather a "dressing up" dress. Not a "look expensive" dress, or brand afaics (that it's polyester is enough to ensure that I suppose) so if your summer party is with the Queen, maybe not. Otherwise go for it!

I am also a 12/14, ordered both sizes, kept the 12 on the grounds that this style needs to be quite tight. They have free returns, though, and one of the options on the return form was "ordered more than one size" - why not get both and see which is better?

FrogsLegs31 · 06/06/2017 20:50

I'm a 12/14 and have two of their lace dresses.

If you're choosing a style with sleeves you'll need a 14 as the sleeves are strangely skinny! A sleeveless dress will be better in a 12 as they look better tighter.

You can get them on ASOS too, handy for free returns.

I had no issues, ordered one dress which wasn't quite as nice as the photos but still lovely.

Ilovetea13 · 07/06/2017 22:03

Gorgeous brand I wore one to a wedding had so many compliments and I felt like a princess x

ProseccoandPizza · 07/06/2017 22:42

Love mine but have had to size up due to bust. (Am a 34H) Zips seem to be a problem with the very lacy dresses!
