MIL's birthday party to show off the grandchildren (a.k.a. my DC) to her friends, none of whom we have ever met. I'm thinking a white (?) cardigan. But I've no idea if this is seen to be fashionably acceptable. I don't want to embarrass the poor woman for having an unkempt DIL in front of all her friends. It won't be a posh thing, just at BIL's house, but should look like I made an effort!
