Hair straightener dilema

First world problem, but here goes....

I have 50 pounds to buy a set of hair straighteners.

I found a second hand ghd v gold pink edition on gumtree for 50 pounds, the ad says they are well used but in good condition.

I also have my eye on the Remington keratin radiance straighteners for 38 on Amazon. My hair is thick, wavy and I have trichotillomania and the regrowth is wiry like pubic hair

Wwyd? I have saved forever for these and really dont want to make the wrong choice as I wont be able to afford a second pair. So confused!!!

Hopeful bump

I bought some Remingtons recently after ghds for years and I much prefer them. They heat to 230 whereas newer ghds only go to about 180-190. This just isn't hot enough for my coarse hair. I would never ever go back to ghd now. And I straighten my hair every day and have done for 20 years.

Plus with the second hand ghds you have to take that on trust that they haven't been dropped down the stairs etc. If they break after a week you have zero come back.

DO NOT GET THE REMINGTON KERATIN ONES! They sizzled my hair they are horrific! They don't slide well either.

My Babyliss Pro 230 are amazing! Shimmery dark purple colour, adjustable temp and came with clips and a mat. Think they were £34.99 at Argos x

I have had GHDs and Cloud 9S
These are as good if not better
Think they are about £80 in boots
but often half price deal or if you have Boots points?
Recommend them- very thick curly hair and they are great.
Might be worth saving a couple more months?
They have a protect setting too.
