Anyone used schwarzkopf hair dye?

The instructions say to towel dry and then apply the dye. Does that mean my hair can be slightly damp before I whack it on? Or doe sit need to be properly dry?

I'm so rubbish. Thanks for help.

It means the hair will be damp but not soaking and not completely dry either
