Just bought these with 20% off. www.jonesbootmaker.com/ladies/ladies-flat-shoes/athleisure/jones-bootmaker-grecian-JBR26212131.html?cgid=ladiesflat-shoesathleisure&dwvar_JBR26212131_Colour=60#start=
Lovely soft leather. Would wear with jeans and black trousers. I was really pleased but when I got home DH turned his nose up and said they looked awful. Honest views please while I decide whether to keep or return. (PS, they also come in pale pink). Thanks

They wouldn't be my cup of tea, but I don't do bows. I might like them without the bows.

Alphabetsy · 04/06/2017 15:57

It was the bows that he didn't like too Grin

I suppose it depends on how much you care about whether DH likes what you're wearing.
I listen to me DH because I think he has good taste, and will tell me honestly if something doesn't suit me.

Sparkletastic · 04/06/2017 16:09

Love them. Keep them.

QueenMortificado · 04/06/2017 16:12

Personally I think they should be locked away in a file marked "crimes against fashion" but if you like them and they're comfortable then really who gives a toss what anyone else thinks?

Alphabetsy · 04/06/2017 16:13

I do value DH's opinion as he's got good taste, but it wouldn't stop me wearing something he wasn't keen on if I really liked them.

Crimes against fashion Grin. I also bought these (which he did like)! www.jonesbootmaker.com/ladies/ladies-sandals/jones-bootmaker-kite-JBR26012455.html?cgid=ladiessandals&dwvar_JBR26012455_Colour=11#start=1

I just showed my 14 yr old fashion-conscious DD, who approved.

CodenameDuchess09 · 04/06/2017 16:39

I like them. I have a pair of pink ones, although they are from Primark.

CountFosco · 04/06/2017 16:45

There was a discussion on here a while ago about metallic trainers and someone said they always thought metallic shoes were the preserve of the older woman. Now I'm not one to believe clothes have an age limit but those shoes definitely make me think you go on several cruises a year because they are terribly good value for money and you don't have to keep repacking and moving hotels but get to see lots of interesting cities. Love the kite sandals though.

TheFirstMrsDV · 04/06/2017 16:52

I like them but I wouldn't buy them.
I get terribly distracted by big things on shoes Grin

millifiori · 04/06/2017 16:55

Not keen I'm afraid. Those bows look like the kind of fashion gaffe that M&S would go in for. Surprised they are by Jones. The sandals are OK though.

LastSummerWine · 04/06/2017 17:03

The Metallic ones with the big bow are quite on trend at the momen. THe second lot I.e the sandals are diabolical.

Floisme · 04/06/2017 17:03

Older woman here whose only cruise has been on the River Shannon.

And........................

I quite like them but I think the bow would get on my nerves after a bit.

Make of that what you will.

Regarding husbands and their opinions: I only consult mine if I'm not sure about a purchase and he does the same. I know he hates my new favourite trousers but, to his credit, he hasn't said a word, although the pain is etched on his face.

Alphabetsy · 04/06/2017 17:17

Hillarious! I am actually going on my first cruise next year ( but only as the in-laws are treating the whole family). It did cross my mind that they would be comfy on deck though Grin

Nononononono.

I am with your DH. They say 'comfy for the bunions, great with pop socks and jazzy too!'

BusterGonad · 05/06/2017 10:22

I don't like either of them, I'm not keen on clumpy soles, the metallic ones look a bit like jazzy school daps for PE in the hall!

burnishedsilver · 05/06/2017 10:54

I like both pairs.
