What colour saltwater sandals ?

Hi I'm looking at ordering some salt water sandals today. I can't decide on which colour to commit too. I want them all. If I was brave I'd go with yellow but I've got a feeling I'll end up going with navy or black.

Anyone out there have a favourite colour ?

Thanks

" I usually pick a colour scheme that works with my wardrobe that I'm wearing that season."

As a winter I always wear the same colour scheme - different clothes maybe, but I don't wear colours that don't suit me, so no browns or tans ever darken my door. It's usually black or navy footwear for me. However my FitFlop flip flops are a bronze colour and seem to go with everything.

I have them in purple and shiny red. Loke them both

DavetheCat2001 · 04/06/2017 17:39

I have the bright red ones.

They are ace.

I do not need to know that, I'm blaming your Saltwater thread for my latest pair of shoes and I really don't need another pair of sandals, I have 3 already and I live in the north east for goodness sake!

My silver ones had an outing today and are gorgeous.

You might be able to buy similar ones in Asda for a fraction of the price but I've worn my red practically every day may-september for three years and they still look brand new (or would if I cleaned the stitching beneath the toes).

Super comfortable too. Not much support, true, but my feet prefer them to a more structured sandal. Meant they were still comfy with swollen 42 weeks pregnant feet too!

Has anyone worn them in the sea/water?

Apparently they fit even better after a soaking, and although I will be taking mine on our holiday to Menorca next month, I am a bit nervous about getting them wet.

They look fab DavetheCat2001 Smile
I'm Already planning my toe nail varnish to match.

I got my tan ones wet. It didn't effect them what so ever.

I have a few different bags from the Cambridge satchel company which I think will look good with these sandals.

I have navy, tan, red and rose gold. I wear the red most, wish I'd got a pair of orange when I had the chance. Still tempted by yellow, but I wish they'd do a lovely green - I don't like the lime shade but would snap up a bottle or a kelly green.

DavetheCat2001 · 04/06/2017 18:41

Good to know, thanks chaps.

So handy to have a decent pair of sandals that look good and can be worn to chase the kids about on a beach/into the sea.

I really like the yellow ones too.

fuzzyfozzy · 04/06/2017 19:17

How are they on a holiday, I'm worried about my feet swelling and them being tight.

OftheUppahUplands · 04/06/2017 19:22

I've got a turquoise pair which I adore, but would love a red pair too

cuirderussie · 04/06/2017 19:30

I have silver, yellow and red. I love them all and they are entering their third summer. The yellow ones get LOADS of compliments. Grin

livefrommysofa · 04/06/2017 21:15

Fuzzyfozzy I can't see that being a problem. They are very giving. I have broad feet and they fit fine.

I have a navy pair which are so comfortable. I have wide feet and they seem to stretch to fit my feet. Love them.

fuzzyfozzy · 04/06/2017 21:47

Thanks!

rollonthesummer · 04/06/2017 21:53

Are they really comfortable? Do they have a bit of give? I'm so used to Birkenstocks but these look so flat.

Wtfdoicare · 04/06/2017 22:35

Yes rollonsummer they give for me.

AteRiri · 04/06/2017 22:42

I have white and black. I LOVE my white ones.

motmot · 04/06/2017 22:58

I have a red pair and would love another pair in tan but despite them being 4 years old and worn loads they still look new so o can't justify the cost of a new pair! Vey envious of you all with multiple pairs.

I like how flat they are, and find them very comfortable, but the only issue I have is the lack of tread/grip on the soles for grassy slopes, rubbly paths etc.

DanCarterIsMyOtherHusband · 05/06/2017 08:24

Oh to have slim ankles. I would love a pair of these but my delicate self esteem (the only delicate thing about me) would be shattered if I was ever brave enough to try a pair on. Damn you, ankle strap!

Honeyandfizz · 05/06/2017 08:25

I have them in white and they look great. Think I may go for a pair of the tan colour this year.
