Are fascinators still in fashion?

Going to a wedding, don't want to wear a hat so bought one & now very unsure how to wear & does it look silly! Long straight layered hair with side fringe I'm wearing down.

Help!

They aren't in fashion on MN, but many people wore them to Pippa Middleton's wedding.
Which amused me.

I didn't see any pictures of guests at Pippa's wedding wearing anything like the small fascinator that the OP was considering wearing. But I could be wrong

There's a big difference between the bespoke, designer ones you see at society weddings and off the shelf ones from high street stores.

I love the dress op! I'm not keen on the fascinator. It sort of matches the dress, but doesn't quite, which might end up looking a bit cheap? I'd go with a hat or maybe a larger fascinator in a contrasting colour, as pps suggested.
